CANCELLATIONS FOR SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 4

- Acadia Athletic Complex will remain closed for the rest of the day.

- All events for 65th Berwick Gala Days have been postponed until tomorrow or Monday.

West Kings Community Fair postponed until Sept.12th.

-Windsor Library is closed today.

- Greenwood Minor Hockey IP Skills & Conditioning Camp at Greenwood Gardens cancelled.

-Greenwood  Recycling and New Minas Recycling will be closed Sept.4th.

The public is advised that Haliburton and Shand House Museums in Windsor and Prescott House Museum in Starr's Point will be closed Saturday Sept. 4 due to Hurricane Earl's impending arrival. They will reopen at the usual time on Sunday, Sept. 5 -- 1:00pm. Other museums may close as well. The monthly breakfast at the Black Rock Jolly Workers hall will be happening this month on September 11, instead of September 4, due to Hurricane Earl.

Provincial beaches, the Shubenacadie wildlife park, day-use and camping parks will be closed to the public because of severe weather conditions anticipated from Hurricane Earl. All provincial camping parks will close at 1 P-M today, (September 3rd) and all other provincial parks will close at 7 P-M. All facilities will remain closed until further notice. Full refunds will be given for camping park cancellations because of Hurricane Earl. Call 1-888-544-3434 for refunds and further updates on parks and Hurricane Earl.

In preparation for Hurricane Earl, The Raven Haven Beachside Family Park is no longer accepting reservations for the campsites. However, fixed roof accommodations, cabins and hostel, will remain open. A reassessment of the closure will take place on Saturday September 4th, at Noon.

Upper Clements Park will be closed September 4, due to Hurricane Earl. The Park will open for Sunday, September 5 for the Battle of the Bands Finale.

The New Minas Lions breakfast for September 4 from 7 – 10:30 is cancelled because of Earl’s approach. Back to normal the first Saturday of October.

The corn boil, barbecue and pot luck dessert that was scheduled for this Saturday beginning at 5 p.m. at the community hall in Scott's Bay has been postponed until next Saturday, September 11th.

The Municipality of the County of Kings would like to advise residents and visitors that Aylesford Lake Public Beach and Boat Launch will be closed on Saturday, September 4th due to the Tropical Storm Watch that has been issued by the Canadian Hurricane Centre.

Cancelled-Sept 4th Fish Chowder Supper at Hall's Harbour Fire Hall has been cancelled.

Acadia’s Athletic Complex will be closed until noon on Saturday, September 4. Depending on the weather, this closure may be extended but we will send another notice at that time.

Please note that Welcome Week activities for first year Acadia students, scheduled to begin on Saturday, September 4 will now begin on Sunday, September 5. The move is in response to weather information from Environment Canada in advance of Hurricane Earl.
